Elizabeth and John Edwards legally separated in January after having ruined his life essentially: the former senator from North Carolina has recently admitted that he was the father of a daughter, Quinn, a cameraman for the mistress Rielle Hunter strange.

After seeing Rielle Hunter sitting for an interview on Oprah, Elizabeth Lauer said: “I still think that this person is so completely unlike me, it is difficult to imagine that the same person can get married and be attracted to this Women as well. ”

De Juan, who probably will divorce next year, he said, “I think she married a wonderful man. Change over time. It is no longer the person I married.”

Elizabeth Edwards was interviewed by Matt Lauer this morning on the Today Show about the dismantling of their marriage because of the adventure of John Edwards with Rielle Hunter.

It was Edwards’ first TV interview on the subject, and the show today is presented as “Elizabeth Edwards breaks her silence.” Edwards was pleasantly blunt: “I must free myself from the media image imposed,” he said. “I’m a cuckold wife. Edwards was in the program to promote the paperback edition of his book resilience, which has added a new chapter on marriage breakdown.

Edwards said that Rielle Hunter was the interview with Oprah Winfrey in April: “I still think that this person is so completely unlike me, it is difficult to imagine that the same person can get married and be attracted to this – that women, too. “There seemed to be very emotional weight behind the fast break just before” woman “as if Edwards was about to say something stronger, perhaps even more contemptuous.

Edwards is promoting the new edition of his book, Resilience, which added a new chapter in their divorce and deal with all of her husband’s affair with Rielle Hunter. When Matt Lauer asked about Hunter Oprah interview, Edwards has managed to be both quiet and honest. Unlike Hunter, who did not go into specific criticisms (GQ Hunter commentary on “the wrath of Isabel” remains a monument to bad taste). She just said she was intrigued by the fact that John can marry and both are attracted to “that woman” – a statement tinged with sour grapes, perhaps, but also with genuine confusion to discover that someone a think you know, has a life and a love that has nothing to do with you.

Edwards may be easier to press the release of the abandoned wife who hates politics in history, a significant achievement in a crowded field. It has no parallel anywhere in the cruelty and violence of his campaign to rehabilitate the image. At her side, Jenny Sanford, the author look to stay faithful and Dina Matos McGreevey, author of Silent Partner, as wallflowers. Even Hillary Clinton can compete and almost became president in his own resilience schlep behind the lowest point for years Lewinsky.
